BYLAWS
OF
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR COURT MANAGEMENT

ARTICLE VII
Committees
Section 1.
Standing Committees. The
standing committees of the Association are:
a.
Education
b.
Membership Services
c.
Nominations
d.
Past Presidents
e.
Planning
Section 2.
Standing Committees
Chairpersons.
After each annual meeting the President shall appoint a Director to chair
each standing committee. The chair
of each of these committees shall determine the number of committee members and
appoint those members from among the members of the Association, excluding
Sustaining members.
Section
3.
Nominations Committee.
a.
Members. The Nominations
Committee shall be chaired by the Immediate Past President and shall consist of
the chair and four members eligible to vote appointed by the President. If the Immediate Past President is unable to serve, the
President shall appoint a member
eligible to vote to chair the committee.
b.
Duties.
(1)
Nomination of officers. For
each annual meeting, the Nominations Committee shall prepare a slate of nominees
for all offices. The President
Elect shall be nominated to the office of President.
All nominees shall be Regular members of the Association.
(2)
Nomination of Class A
Directors. For each annual
meeting, the Nominations Committee shall prepare a slate of nominees for the
four Class A Directors to be elected at such meetings.
All nominees shall be Regular members of the Association.
(3)
Presentation of Slates. The
Nominations Committee shall present the slate of nominees to the membership at
the first business session of the annual meeting.
Other nominations may be made by members eligible to vote from the floor
at any business session of the annual meeting prior to the election. After
nominations have been presented to the membership, the President shall set the
time for the election during a succeeding business session of the annual
meeting.
Section
4.
Past Presidents Committee. Past
Presidents who are members shall constitute the Committee.
The Immediate Past President shall chair the Committee. The Committee
shall consider and advise on such matters as may be submitted to it by the
President or the Board of Directors.
Section
5.
Special Committees. Whenever
deemed necessary by the Board of Directors or President, the President may
appoint special committees to carry out the purposes of the Association.
The President shall appoint a chair for and the members of each such
committee. The members of such
committees shall be from the membership classes which can serve on committees.
The Board shall periodically review the Special Committees created under
this section and abolish any deemed unnecessary.
